Fortify Geauga Newsletter
May 23, 2024
Hello, Friends,
Welcome to a brand new week. This is the Fortify Geauga Newsletter for May 23, 2024.
Our May 20th event was a huge success! Many thanks to the wonderful Geauga County patriots who joined us to learn about election integrity efforts in Ohio and the current threat to township zoning rights going on across the state. We also discussed the importance of reforming our Geauga County GOP to reflect grassroots conservative values. If you weren’t able to join us, but you’d like to learn more about those issues, please see:

Republicans in Geauga County Need Real Representation
If you would like to work with us on any of these issues, contact us at FortifyGeauga@proton.me. And save the date for our next event on Monday, June 24. We’ll have details in our upcoming newsletters and on our website.
All the members of Fortify Geauga extend our best wishes to all of you as we prepare to celebrate Memorial Day. Every day, we work to safeguard the values that make our county and our country worthy of the sacrifices our soldiers and their families have given us. The sacrifices they make are too much to ask – but we ask anyway, and heroes deliver. Please spend a few minutes reflecting on the meaning of Memorial Day.
Have a look at this collection of President Ronald Reagan’s Memorial Day remarks. His wisdom and patriotism are sorely needed today.
Please spend a moment reflecting on the stirring lyrics of a most beloved patriotic song, “America the Beautiful.” If all you remember is the first verse, treat yourself to the verses you’ve forgotten. You may realize how brilliantly this song captures the essence of the American spirit.
As always, thank you for spending a few moments with us. Have a wonderful week and a meaningful Memorial Day.
Weekly Spotlight: Join us as we fight to save our Townships
The Ohio Senate is moving to take away zoning authority from all Ohio townships, replacing our zoning regulations with a one-size fits-all plan designed to benefit high-density housing development. Fortify Geauga is mobilizing to stop this threat. Please see action steps in our post, “Act NOW to Preserve Township Zoning Rights” and send us an email at FortifyGeauga@proton.me if you would like to be part of our efforts to spread the word to every township in our county.
