Special Election: May 2, 2023

Are You Ready for Tuesday’s
Special Election?

  • Special Elections will be held in several Geauga County precincts on May 2, 2023. Polls will be open from 6:30am – 7:30pm.

  • Important Note: Each of the issues on these ballots will be decided by simple majority (50% +1 vote). This is a very low threshold to achieve in a typically low-turnout Special Election.

  • Many of these issues will decide levies of significant duration: 5 years in Chardon and Thompson, 10 years in Chardon D (that’s 2 long levies for Chardon D!), and in Bainbridge a continuing levy with no projected end.

  • You deserve a voice on these significant levies. A few votes can make a big difference in these small elections. Please vote!

  • See below for details and sample ballots.
