Establishment GOP Attacking Tea Party, Squawking About “Fake Slate Cards”
We’ve just watched recreational marijuana become legal in our state and unrestricted abortion added to our Constitution; widespread problems like voter integrity and illegal immigration threaten literally every county in our nation, despite the fact most in our party won’t acknowledge them; our monetary system, First and Second Amendment rights, government institutions, and education system are all feeling the pressure of globalist intentions…in short, we have a hundred problems facing Geauga County right now, and the Tea Party isn’t one of them.
At a Geauga County GOP Executive Committee meeting in February, GOP insiders were harshly complaining that the Geauga County Tea Party was planning to distribute or had distributed “fake slate cards” for the upcoming Primary election. (For anyone who may not know, a slate card is a list of endorsed candidates.) This was cited as the reason the Geauga GOP should break with tradition and vote to endorse primary candidates – because Republican voters perhaps couldn’t be trusted to read a slate card and differentiate between the GOP, the Tea Party, or any of the other numerous organizations that routinely publish voting recommendations. This begs the question of how the GOP defines “real” and “fake” when it comes to slate cards. Presumably, a “real” GOP slate card would list the candidates whose endorsements were voted on by the Central and Executive Committee members. Yet, ahead of the 2022 Primary, Geauga GOP Chair Nancy McArthur distributed endorsements, despite the fact there was never a Central Committee vote on which candidates to endorse. Wasn’t that a “Fake Slate Card”? And how about the fliers Mrs. McArthur distributed, instructing Democrats to pull Republican ballots in our split primary, vote for her preferred candidates (not voted on by the GOP), then switch back to Democrat ballots for their primary? That seems an awful lot like a “Fake Slate Card”.
The screenshot below comes from a letter sent by concerned Geauga citizens to Secretary of State Frank LaRose, outlining more than 20 examples of undesirable behavior on the part of GOP Chair and current County Commissioner candidate, Nancy McArthur. To read the letter in full, click here.
Maybe it’s time for our GOP to stop attacking patriotic conservatives and get to work on the business of recruiting and promoting true Republican candidates and safeguarding the grassroots conservative values that make Geauga County a wonderful place to live and thrive. Many of our rural values and the character of our county are under threat.
“Ad sponsored by Chris Hitchcock encouraging Democrats to come out and vote on the Republican ballot on May 3, 2022 primary. This page was circulated and shared by Geauga County GOP Chair Nancy McArthur publicly across social media. Many Republican voters were incensed that our own party leadership would dilute the power of our Republican votes in our own Primary.”
I couldn’t agree more the Democrats have hijacked the Republican Party and the by product is Nancy McArthur. She needs to be kicked out of the party forever and not be able to run for anything again.
Nicely done, Tiff, once again. Hits the nail on the head. If Geauga is to remain Geauga and not become an annex of Cuyahoga…
DON’T CUYAHOGA OUR GEAUGA!
…it’s going to take some people willing to ask questions and go against the Leftist/Globalist narrative.
In the recent Commissioners debate, Nancy McArthur’s response to what to do when offered Federal/State/Grant dollars sent a chill down my spine. It doesn’t appear she’s willing to consider the trade-offs or what strings may be attached.
In order for We The People to fight back and assert our Rights, Freedoms, and Liberties, it’ll take informed citizenry. Of the two, TEA Party and County GOP, one offers zero opportunity to learn and get involved and the other is all about it.
